In September 2016 I had the great honour of photographing the wedding of Susann and Jan in Germany. The civil ceremony with the closest family took place in the Ständehaus Merseburg. Afterwards we had some time to stroll around in the park and castle for a couple shoot, before heading to the Festsaal "Schafstall" in Bad Lauchstädt, where the reception and the party took place. Of course, the wedding included lots of German tradition like “who has the upper hand while cutting the cake” (this person will also have the upper hand in the marriage ;-) ), smashing porcelains (the more pieces, the more luck; great joy for all kids), cutting wood with a blunt saw (working together as a couple) and selling the garter (all the guest are bidding, but of course, the groom is buying it at the end). What an amazing day it has been, from the bridal and groom's preparation till the party in the early morning hours. Susann and Jan are a truly wonderful couple and you just feel the love between them. I wish them lots of love and happiness for the future. Thanks that I could be a part of your big day!
