What a great day it has been, full of joy and fun. Katie and Laurie are an amazing couple with great family and friends. The day started at Katie's mums house with the preparation of Katie, her mum, brother and bridesmaids. After the Hair and Make-up were done to perfection by Light Box Studio, Katie got in her gorgeous fishtail dress from Wed2B. She looked stunning. After a glass of bubbly, selfies and some photos with the bridesmaids and her brother, I was driving to the Holy Cross Parish Church in Bury, Ramsey. Katie and the Bridal party followed in a vintage Volkswagen Camper Van, but being there a bit too early, they decided to have a short stop at a pub. At the church I met Laurie, his best man and the guest...all waiting for the bride :-) . The Holy Cross Parish Church is a wonderful old English church and the ceremony was very traditional with beautiful hymns. Afterwards we had some time for group photos and photos of Katie and Laurie in the church, before heading to the Old Ferry Boat in Holywell, allegedly the oldest pub in England, where the reception and party took place. If you have been to this pub before, you have probably noticed the beautiful old houses in The Holywell Front which offered a great background for some couple shoots, before we continued to the meadow for more photos. We then headed back to the Old Ferry Boat, where the speeches and wedding breakfast was about to start. I have to admit, Laurie's speech was one of the most heartfelt and emotional ones I have ever heard. After the wedding breakfast, the evening guest arrived and the party started. And the bouquet throwing was not only done for the ladies, but also for the gents. The gents took very different approaches, which included a rugby lift as well as one making a runner. It was such a great day and I was a true pleasure that I was allowed to be part of Katie's and Laurie's special day. I wish them both lots of love, joy and happiness together.
