Sarah and Gareth's Wedding at the Haycock Hotel

As mentioned in my blog about Sarah and Gareth's Pre-wedding shoot, I was so psyched for this wedding. Not only are they awesome and fun to be with, but the wedding was also shortly after Christmas and they went for a Star Wars theme combined with Lego. The day before the wedding was slightly nerve wrecking because it suddenly started to snow. Yes, snow in England around Christmas – very unusual. Luckily, it did not disrupt the journeys of the guests too much and everyone made it to the wedding. Sarah got prepped in the morning at the Haycock Hotel, together with her bridesmaids and some fizz ... as you do :-) . Sarah looked so stunning in her dress by Fleur De Lys and the bouquet by Flowers by Sanchia was just divine. The bridesmaid wore wonderful red dresses, which gave the wedding an additional christmassy touch. Gareth arrived later in the morning, already suited and booted, so we walked around a bit and did some photos of him as well. Please note the buttonhole! The ceremony took place in the Tapestry room at 12 pm and it was full of joy, laughter and tears, just as you would expect from a wedding. We timed the couple shoot perfectly, because we got the golden hour of the day. You can't believe how happy we were. And it was just as much fun as their pre-wedding shoot. After the couple shoot I went on to take some pictures of the wonderfully christmassy decorated Orchard Conservatory, before all the guests came in and welcomed the newly weds. The speeches included a huge surprise that made everyone emotional. A friend of Gareth, which he knows from his RAF days, was supposed to be the best man, but has been deployed a few weeks before the wedding. So unfortunately he could not be there, however, he recorded a video message that was shown during the speeches. Everyone, especially Gareth was so touched as you can probably imagine. After dinner, and cake cutting, the party started with the first dance of Sarah and Gareth, followed by a dance of Sarah and her dad. This time it was Sarah who got emotional. It was an absolute wonderful moment. The party was just awesome, everyone enjoyed themselves dancing to music by The Swing Kings, lightsaber duels and partnered up with the storm trooper. We finished the evening with a wonderful romantic sparkler shoot in the courtyard of the Haycock Hotel. The whole day was amazing, from the start until I sadly had to leave. Sarah and Gareth are such awesome people and a great couple. I wish them all the happiness they deserve.
